Scandal Number 8 - If we do pull out of the war the question is

If we do pull out of the war the question is…

Do they attack us again in our country? If this were to happen now…we probably wouldn’t have enough men and women to fight in the country now. So if we pull out and bring our heroes back home...

We would be able to fight the enemy in our own backyard?? If this is the case, why haven’t they done it already? Are they waiting for the next best moment to strike? Do we stay there until the job is done and risk more lives?? I think God is the only one that has the answer!

Scandal Number 7- Back during the Vietnam war

Back during the Vietnam war images of coffins were shown on tv all the time… I’m not quite sure how I feel about this right now. Kind of like reshowing September 11. No one wants to deal with the reality and no family wants to relive the horror over again, however, by not showing it, it’s like it slips away and we don’t have to think about it. Like it never happened. Therefore, men and women that are risking their lives and dying but I’m not forced to rationalize it. I don’t have to think about hundreds of lives and what they are risking it for?

Why is there not a public outcry? Storming the capital and demanding answers…demanding evidence that the lives of their sons and daughters are not taken in vain. They are making a difference, the war is worth it, we are there for a reason…Should these images be shown? Be brought to the public and saying stand up and honor these men and women..be proud of the sacrifices they have made for you. For you to stand here and live your life…

Should the public see the reality of how dangerous it is…that war is serious and violence is something that needs to happen for our future? Is it really necessary for us to be there?? Would these images give us the answers or send us into a furry?

Scandal Number 6 - Natural resources and our environment

Natural resources and our environment... Do we rely too heavily on foreign goods? With gas prices skyrocketing is it really smart to keep relying on foreign countries to supply us with resources we use on a daily basis to function? What about relying too heavily on a specific resource? Is it appropriate to drill in endangered lands to get to our own resources? What happens when we run out there? Do we just keep looking for more or do we move on to another resource?

With our vast knowledge in sciences, it would seem that we have already found an alternative fuel for our cars but because of the monopoly that oil companies have it is impossible to break the market. Who controls these markets? Why do they get to monopolize our market? Why do a country that has freedom of speech and a democracy that we would all just sit back and let it happen?? Do tell me how that works?

Why do I have to pay a million dollars for gas? - Scandal Number 5

Why do I have to pay a million dollars for gas? I thought that was part of the reason why bush has us fighting this war was to help us with the cost of our gas? Clearly it wasn’t to go after osama who masterminded the greatest attack on U.S. lives!!! Why would we want to do that?? So I shall continue to pay a million dollars in gas and millions of our men and women will risk their lives for….I’ll have to get back to you on that one. I’m not sure I understand what the war is for and why we are still over there…or what made us go over there in the first place. I have a hard time understanding why it is that we haven’t caught Osama…Doesn’t he have a kidney problem?? So therefore, he would need to be on dialysis. This would mean, depending on the type of dialysis he is on would depend on the way we would go about looking for him. If he were on Hemo dialysis, he would need a special machine that would circulate his blood and he would be sedentary in a hygienic space for hours…which would mean he would be there for a long period of time and he couldn’t move.

Hmmm…..If he were on peritoneal dialysis, he would also need to be sedentary for a long period of time, not as long, but still just as long and he would need lots and lots of solution to remove waste from the body. HELLO…tracking shipments etc. etc. Am I missing something?? Shouldn’t out technology be sophisticated enough to track him down?? I’m sure it’s a little more complicated than that, but seriously…Come on Bush…what is your malfunction?

Scandal Number 4

I am not able to tell you the names of the men and women that are running my country, I can tell you the hot celebs of the month and whose dating who but I can’t tell you whose making decisions about my future. I find it sad that when we go to the streets, not many people are going to be able to tell you otherwise. Is it lack of schooling? Does our society really not put so much emphasis into knowing these things that that might be the reason why I really don’t know and really don’t care? Should I know what they’re wearing on a day to day basis..No! Should I know what type of schooling they’ve had or what their main focus in in our government, probably? Will I? Probably not.

Most of the emphasis our society puts on learning and knowing about stuff, is in the media. It is so much more interesting. I should probably care more, part of the problem, I think, is that our government doesn’t really do what they say they are going to do. The candidates spend most of their time telling the public how awful the other candidate is and no matter what they say, they don’t ever tell me HOW they are going to make their promises happen. Why don’t I ever see or hear about how our candidates are going to make my life better. I would like the candidates to take the important issues and tell me how they are going to solve the problems and make my life better. Makes me want to put them in the top seat and run my country. I don’t understand why that isn’t common protocol. How do these people get into office?

Scandal Number 3

Can anyone tell me why in our society that when someone doesn’t pay their child support in the state of Florida, if you have over $ _____ that you need to pay, they take away your drivers license??? Bueller Bueller, HELLOO…in order to pay your child support, you need a job. In order to get to your job, you need a car…shouldn’t there be some type of punishment that makes more sense rather than taking away someone’s drivers license??? GENIUS!!!

Scandal Number 2

The amount of money that tabloids will pay to get the first pictures of the newest celebrity baby. Shouldn’t that much money be going to find a cure for a life threatening disease? With that much money floating around, we would be able to find a cure for a disease faster than if we didn’t spend the money. Cancer is such a prevalent disease, why can’t that money be spent to help find a cure; so many lives would have been saved or can be saved in the near future. Why is it that it isn’t a law, a law that you can’t spend that ridiculous amount of money for pictures of a baby? The best part about spending the money for the pictures was that the family didn’t keep any of the money, they sent it to charity. Why is it that no one cares how much money get’s spent on frivolous things as pictures.

Culture Scandal #0 Intro

Does anyone else find our culture ridiculous, or is it just me? I tend to find that when I turn on the TV or when I’m bored at work, I live for the dirty dish of what’s hot in celeb life, kind of like they’re my best friends and I’m trying to find the trash to spread around my hometown, like people care. Scandalous!

Scandal Number 1

For like half a year, all I heard about on TV and in the news was Anna Nicole Smith and her death. We have women and men over in Iraq that die everyday. Do we ever hear about that? Do we see their faces plastered all over the news like Anna Nicole? What is really screwed up is that for her funeral, she was driven in a hearse with police escorts and a red carpet rolled out for the plane. Do any of America’s real heroes get that type of treatment? I hear of those heroes coming home in cardboard boxes. CARDBOARD boxes for fucks sake. How pathetic is our society that we would rather honor those that don’t need it. They had to do a paternity test to find out her babies father, HELLO!!!! Seriously, what is wrong with this picture?
